Tip of the Week: AARP Age-Friendly Employer Program
Show your organization’s commitment to equal opportunity for all workers and get access to HR and recruitment resources
A recent Forbes.com article, “Workplace Ageism Is Hurting Employees and Businesses Alike,” cites a MyPerfectResume survey: 99% of workers over age 40 experience ageism in the workplace. To show commitment to equal opportunity for all workers, American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) is urging employers to sign their age-friendly employer pledge.
The AARP Employer Pledge Program is a group of employers across the US that stand with AARP in affirming the value of experienced workers of age 50-plus, and are committed to developing diverse organizations.
When your org signs the pledge, you’ll be able to use the AARP Employer Pledge Signer seal on your recruitment materials and website, as well as gain access to tools for building an age-inclusive workforce.
