AVMA’s guide is a good one to share with pet parents in your community

You know how crucial it is to have a disaster preparedness plan in place for your shelter—and that’s true, too, for the families you serve. The American Veterinary Medical Association has published a guide that’s perfect to pass along to your community, or to use as inspo for crafting your own disaster preparedness materials.

The 7-page pdf includes a checklist of necessary items in a pet evacuation kit, as well as a handy Pet Emergency Numbers card to fill in and cut out. Download the guide and pass it on.
