It’s been three years since The Association’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee launched the first-of-its-kind survey in 2021. More than 2,600 of you responded, establishing an initial baseline that identified inequities and disparities in the profession.

It’s time to reassess. What is the current state of DEI in animal welfare? To answer this question, The Association is conducting the 2024 DEI Survey now through July 31, thanks to support from our sponsor, Adopt a Pet.

This survey is for every animal welfare professional. All members of all teams are urged to participate – from front-line animal care staff, managers, and field officers to fundraising staff, adoptions counselors, and board members. We need to hear from all voices in order to assess our progress and continue ongoing work.
