Tip of the Week: Positive Self-Talk (Yes, You Can Do It!)

Ideas for rethinking your own (negative) narrative
Not One More Vet, the group of veterinary professionals dedicated to transforming the status of mental wellness within the industry, recently curated a variety of resources they shared throughout the month prior.
One of our favorites was their social media post that emphasized the need to challenge negative self-talk. Examples included 3 ways to redirect feelings of being overwhelmed:
If you’re experiencing feelings of burnout and your thoughts sound like:
- “I’m so lazy”
- “I can’t do anything right”
NOMV suggests trying these phrases instead:
- “A little progress is still progress”
- “I deserve time to recharge”
- “It’s human to ask for help”
