The Wagsies

The 2023 Wagsies awards will open for submissions on Tuesday, June 13 and submissions will close Sunday, June 25.

The Association & Hill’s Pet Nutrition welcomes you to the Wagsies, an awards platform developed to honor outstanding marketing, promotional and storytelling videos created to help pets in need.

The Entry Period for the 2023 Wagsies is now closed.

Thank you to the many shelters around the country who entered. Be sure to visit HillsPet.com to see the 6 finalists, and vote for the People’s Choice award from September 19th – October 3rd, 2023. The Wagsies will be awarded on Wednesday, November 15th 2023, at The Association’s annual conference.

Submission Categories & Prizes

Professional Choice
Awarded by animal welfare marketing experts, The Professional Choice Award will be granted to two winners: one winner with an annual budget of less than $2 million and one winner with an annual budget of $2 million or more. Each winner will receive a trophy and $1,500 to continue their efforts to help pets in need.

People’s Choice
Awarded to the video with the most votes from the general public voting on the Hill’s website, the winner will receive a trophy and $3,000 to continue their efforts to help pets in need.

Who Can Enter?

The Association welcomes members to participate, as well as any humane organization, shelter, spay/neuter clinic, municipal animal care and control, or rescue organization.

Submissions

All submissions must:

  • be in .mov or .mp4 format
  • represent organizations from the United States or Canada
  • be at least 720 x 480 pixels large
  • have a file size of less than 10 GB
