By joining, you become part of an elite group of animal welfare professionals who are pursuing the growth and prestige of our business. As members, we not only set the high standards of quality and ethics for all animal welfare administrators; we have the following objectives:
To get the full value from your membership, we encourage you to become active in our committees. All members are welcome to help influence the direction of our association, our industry for the voiceless .
Membership Levels and Fees
Animal Welfare Professional ($250/year) - Any individual, functioning as the chief executive, managerial or non-managerial position of an agency, in good standing, that operates an animal welfare or animal care and control operation or an organization that enforces animal regulations. Any individual interested in the field of animal welfare or animal care and control, to include association professionals, agency board members, or government commissioners. Anyone that serves as a vendor to the trade would not qualify for this membership level.
Industry Partner ($350/year) - Individuals employed with vendors to the trade.
Retired - The Association executive or manager members, who have officially retired from animal welfare, care and control management, are in good standing, are a minimum age of 55, and have been a member of The Association for at least 10 years, and the combination of The Association membership years and years in animal welfare must be a minimum of 30.
Student ($15/year) - Any individual who is preparing for a career in animal welfare and is currently enrolled full or part time at an accredited degree-granting college or university. The student shall not be employed full time by an animal welfare organization; and shall not be joining to promote a business.
