The Executive Director leads day-to-day activities and operations, ensures that the Humane Society is fiscally and administratively sound, and that its internal and external communications, fundraising, and systems are efficient and effective. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success working with a Board, and has experience advocating animal welfare issues before local and state governments.
This position creates and implements a long-term development plan to guide growth and improve donor relations, cultivates and stewards major gift donors, and identifies prospective donors. Desired experience includes 5+ years of business development/partnership-building experience and progressive management experience, and 5+ years in a professional fundraising environment.
