Welcome to a new learning experience from The Association. We are committed to addressing systemic issues that impact the animal welfare profession. The Association identified resources to strengthen its communities and foster inclusion as part of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Commitment to Action. To this end, we hope to empower others to work together and dismantle systems perpetuating animal and human harm.
Our DEI Resource Library features resources to help you with your journey. Each section will contain information based on your experience level, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Go to The Resource Library and click each section for an overview.
- If you are new to DEI in animal welfare, the beginner section works best for you. This section should help you establish foundational knowledge on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- If you are aware of common issues impacting the animal welfare profession and seek to deepen your understanding, check out the Intermediate section (coming Summer 2023).
- Finally, the Advanced section is for individuals who are ready for and committed to dismantling oppressive systems, (coming Summer 2023). Anyone using this section will have advanced knowledge of how systems and structures operate in animal welfare and are ready to take action.
Take time to review each section and take what you need. If you don’t see what you are looking for, contact us and we will do our best to address your needs.
